Blackheads/acne/oily skin?

My condition: I have oily skin in places, [t-zone] and i have some pimples on my forehead/nose. In the insides of my nose i also have blackheads which are freaking impossible to get out! I don't want to contaminate my skin with a whole bunch of products but I don't know what to do. I use about 4 or 5 products which have calmed my skin down a bit and i don't break out as often but it's hard because living in florida, you sweat a lot and sweat=grease=breakouts. Please don't reccomend anything too expensive or that is available prescription only!!

Thanks in advance.

Measures to avoid Oily Skin

Drink plenty of water at least 8-10 glasses per day.

Avoid smoking.

Have a healthy and balanced diet.

Use baby powder to dab your face as it works better than many other productsYou can rub oily areas with apple cider vinegar for a neutralizing effect.

Use of hot water more often as it is a great solvent.

To avoid oily skin apply fresh smashed tomatoes on your face.

The first step of having an oil-free skin is to clean your face with gentle face wash to remove excess oil and dirt. Wipe your face with astringent lotion as it is a fat and grease solvent. The astringent should have acetone and should also be alcohol free. Later apply a watery moisturizer to keep your skin smoothRemove excess moisturizer by dabbing a tissue over it.

Blend 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal, 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1/2 cup mashed apple into a smooth paste. Apply this paste on your face for 15 minutes, later rinse it.

You can apply mud packs or clay masks on your face which helps in soaking oil from the skin. This may provide a temporary relief as the long term effects is inconclusive.

Egg Mask: Blend 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon camphor spirit, 1 tablespoon skim milk powder and a drop of mint essential oil.

Before applying the mask, apply odorless castor oil. Apply the mask, keep it for 15 minutes; wash it off with warm water to be rinsed by apple cider vinegar and water / witch hazel solution.

Grate a cucumber and keep it in the fridge. Apply this grated chilled cucumber on your face for 15 minutes. Use this at least twice a week for a clean and clear face.

Cucumber can also be used in juice form mixed with lemon juice. Apply this mixture half-an-hour before you take a bath. The proportion would be 1/2 a tsp each of cucumber and lemon juice.

Get a facial sauna by using herbs such as lemongrass, licorice root and rosebuds. Keep it in simmer, 2 to 4 tablespoons of fresh or dried herbs in 2 quarts of water.

Once you see the steam cover your face over it. To entrap the steam, cover your head with a damp towel and be in that position for 15 minutes. Later wash your face with cold water and dab it dry.Blackheads/acne/oily skin?
i have two things you should try.

1. Biore pore strips. They dry on your nose then when you rip them off, they take the blakcheads with them.

2.Biore self heating mask. You spread it on your face, it heats up, then you rinse off. Helps soak up the oil and cleanse the pores..

When it comes to deciding which products to use, its difficult because you're unsure what works and what doesn't. I've always used Murad products because they work.

With the budget that I'm at right now I had to stop with my Murad. After testing out several products I've been using 3 inexpensive store bought products that has worked for me remarkably.

St. Ive's Acne Exfoliating scrub works so well, you really do notice a difference after you've dried your face. A must have. After that I move on to an acne treatment cream called Zapzyt - another must have buy. And lastly, St. Ive's moisturizing face cream. After 2 weeks of using this product, my skin is so much more smoother and its not as rough as before. I apply all 3 items day and night.

All 3 products can be purchase at a local retail store.
This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. These two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON鈥楾 EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored. But this is not recommended to everyone because it can make it worse.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Clearasil, Neutrogena, and proactive are good choices to start if you want a cleanser. THey might not work for you, so try different products. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard when you wash your face, because it can irritate your skin.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one or two tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars. Zinc can be found in many types of fishes.

If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands are full of bacteria and oils. Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water. Aloe vera helps acne scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

I reccomend you to a homemade mask. I tired it and it made my skin glow and took the oilyness out! You get pure honey fromt eh store (not the fake stufff) and put it on your face, and then get sugar and put it on too and gently rub your face for 5 minutes then leave it on for an hour. I know that sounds disgusting, but I was reccomended this and it works, so i hope it works on you too. =] Also their these vitamin called fish oil pills, that helps alot with oilyness. My uncles a dcotor and he reccomends it, especially if you start oyung. Because not only does it help your body but it also helps your skin.
I think you should 1st get a facial (you could go to a beauty school for about 10.00) then buy Proactive. I have oily skin as well and I love this product. You do have to use everyday or else you will see some breakout. The only good thing about oily skin is that you won't get wrinkles as fast as dry skin person.
I would start by a facial to have all those blackheads extracted so you can start fresh. Then use like neutrogena or clean and clear they have acne fighting, oily skin prone, black head eliminators as well. Make sure your drinking tons of water too. that will help.
For oily skin with acne try fresh tomato puree - it will remove the excessive oil and soothe the inflammation.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
wash your face in the morning and at night with either soap and water or i use Acne Free which is the original Proactive because proactive once u stop using it u could have a big breakout and acne free doesnt really do that as quickly
